Now in Gray, Black & Silver: The Ultimate Qvist Mono Hub

When we released our 15th-anniversary wheelsets with Qvist, the response was overwhelming. But riders left us with one subtle ask: “Can we get that hub in something a little more... earthy, or can we get this hub in more color options to match our custom builds?" We listened. Today, we're proud to announce that the Qvist Mono hub — the same German-engineered heart as our 15th-anniversary collection —is now available in three anodized finishes: Gray, Black, and Silver. Whether you want a stealthy all-black look, a brilliant silver aesthetic, or a sleek gray that belongs on the dirt, you can now build your dream wheelset without compromising on style.

Some components are built to win on a spec sheet. Others are built to impress after 10,000 kilometres of gravel and mud. The Qvist Mono belongs to the second category. When Qvist designed the Mono, they focused on what actually ruins a hub: worn teeth, grinding bearings, and cracked flanges — the silent killers that drag down your drivetrain. By eliminating these flaws at the source, they built a hub that refuses to age.

Weight with Purpose

At 270g a pair, it’s not trying to be the lightest on the market. Instead, those grams buy you real durability:

  • A nickel-plated steel freehub body that won't bite or gouge.
  • Oversized bearings that won't develop play. (17287, 2 front, 4 rear)
  • Reinforced flanges built for extreme spoke loads.
Qvist put weight exactly where it mattered and shaved only where it didn't with extensive 5-axis machining. This is strength done right.

Every Detail, Every Mile

The alignment grooves in the axle might seem insignificant – until you’re roadside in fading light, trying to insert a thru‑axle with cold fingers. The anti‑rotation endcaps might go unnoticed – until you torque the axle and the disc rotor stays perfectly centred. The angled flanges might appear decorative – until you realise your spokes are staying tensioned longer between services. This is engineering you appreciate in silence, mile after relentless mile.

Crafted Under One Roof

Made in Germany isn’t just a label here – it’s a process. From raw aluminium and steel bars to finished, anodized hubs, every step happens under one roof. That means full control over heat treatment, surface finish, and assembly cleanliness. When you spin a Mono hub for the first time, you’ll feel that heritage in its smooth, glassy rotation. And you’ll rely on it when charging through harsh weather, silt, and deep gravel.
